How often do you use your hammock's tie-outs?

If you have a hammock with built-in tie-outs, like the HH or Warbonnet, how often do you actually use them? I hardly ever use my tie-outs. I actually just removed the lines from my Blackbird b/c they got in the way when I flip the netting over the ridgeline.

I voted almost never, though I'm not sure it is the correct response.

I only ever tie-out the head-end of my HH. Never the foot-end tie-out.

I usually tie out my HH Explorer. I do notice thaT I get more rockin or swingin from the breeze when I don;t tie out. That's very pleasant. No tarp over me at these times.
The tie outs do keep the hammock in a wider shape I feel.

I stake mine every time. I've tried a few test hangs without it staked and much prefer the roomier feel I get with the hammock staked out.

I never used an HH tie out...on the WB I've use them one time when test fitting Pauls Burrito..seems like for it to fit correctly tie outs are needed.

I use the tie outs every time. Makes the hammock roomier and because I can be a sleep-gymnast some nights, I like the extra security which comes from knowing I won't wake up one morning with my nose squashed against the bug net.

I used them more in the past. Now they seem like the extra cords are just something else to deal with. Possibly use them in the summer to help with ventilation, but not in the winter.

I stake out the pocket side of my BB as soon as I set up. I put the stake in the ground on the zipper side but don't use the tie-out on that side until I'm ready to go to bed. That way I'm not always tripping over the tie-out. I like to stake out the zipper side so the BB's netting is not sagging in my face when I sleep on an angle.

    I wish I could vote for 50/50.
    Sometimes I do sometimes i don't.
Sometimes I will only do one (head-end, so i don't suck in the netting when I snore.)

I am more likely to tie-out if there is a tree or something I can tie to instead of using a stake. I think the tie-outs on the HH 'work' better if the line is parallel with the ground.
    I ride a recumbent.
I like to HAM it up on the CW.
    I use Linux.
    I play go.
Of course I sleep in a hammock!

I have always tid them out. Like others said, like the roominess and the feeling of stability.
