It got down to 27 degrees here lastnight and thismorning.
I am sold on these 2 bags, the Intermeadiate and the Extreme.
Not having to mess with all the extras stuff, just a simple hanging rig, Hammock, sleeping bag and a tarp.

So far I have used a Hennessy and the Grand Trunk UL with these bags.
It's all in the insulation, be it a quilt setup or bad a$$ sleeping bag.

Forecast for next Thursday is 17F in EastTx (KLTV out of Tyler).

Next time you guys take a quick trip out to SFA SP, give a shout.

I might could make it and bring my son (Condor) if we aren't on a Scout campout the same weekend. I'd love to do some traveling on the Brazos. We've got the Angelina and the Neches near by, which we'll be trying this spring.

Hey Randy, 4* here Friday night. You up for a road trip?

Seriously, I do wonder how this lashup sans pad/quilt will do outside of the Banana Belt.

this is why we sleep in the hammock - the hammock never complains when we sleep in our bed.

Rats! Just got an email...out of stock. They offered to send the ECW instead, but I think that it would poach me in 99% of the weather I'll encounter here @ 35*N.

    Back to the drawing board.

I am hooked on my ECW and the ICW. I have spent several nights is freezing temps, in the ECW with no need for any pad, or quilts and have been very very comfortable.

Even woke up with frost on the outside of the bag but warm and dry inside.....
