Congrats! I bought mine off of AC, and love it. Still playing around with the different ways to tie it out.

I received it yesteday, I am playing with it as well. This thing is huge!

I have a 10 x 10 tarp I built, an d the JRB is 11 x 10, only 1 foot bigger, but it seems so much bigger. Just goes to show that a well designed tarp is about more than just the size!

    biner replaces prusik?

I'm intrigued by the wrapped biner. Is this biner wrapped on the line then attached to the tarp? Easily adjustable but stays tight? No need for prussik?

Wow - glad to see this old thread get resurrected. I've been 'not quite satisfied' with my current tarp choices and have been giving serious consideration to the JRB. I thought I wanted a square tarp but it looks like the rectangle may give a lot of configuration options also.
As for the carabiners taking the place of prussiks, I'm headed to the basement testing area right now to give it a try.

Well, after a breif test of carabiners on my tarp ridgeline - It seems that the carabiners have to be placed before the ridgeline is pulled taut. After the ridgeline is tightened, no movement of the carabiners was possible. I am using a braided ridgeline that has a pretty good "grip" to it - maybe a different line would give different results. So...once the ridgeline is tightened, no adjustment of the tarp along its length is possible. To me, it looks like a very secure attachment but it lacks the adjustibility of a prussik.

EDIT: Played with it a little more and found that the carabiner could be used as the 'loop' part of a 'Truckers Hitch' system on the ridgeline. It stays put and might put less strain on the rope at the knot and bending points than a Truckers Hitch would.
