    Best seam

I am making a bridge that requires seams lengthwise. I know the BMB has seams like this. The flat feld seam is often used for a good strong seam. I think we often use it because it is easier to waterproof for tarps. I was wondering if there is a better seam out there. Waterproof would only be a negative.

    eww...lengthwise...do tell!
I think the bmb had a flat felled but maybe rolled over one more time.
    not sure though.
Any reason you didn't do it widthwise?

A flat fled seam is used to join 2 pieces of fabric together at the edges. I think a rolled hem would work best for the edges of a bridge hammock. I don't really know what seam to suggest if you are putting a seam in the body of the hammock like JRB uses for the pad pocket on the BMB hammock. I have yet to make a bridge hammock so I can't say anything for sure.
