2010 Arkansas Ozark Hang - March 12-14

Hiking sounds good to me. I'm a very, very likely attendee as well and am going to do my best to get there late in the afternoon on the 11th. For those in the know, are we camping near where we park or are we going to hike somewhere and camp? Either way works for me just prepare a bit differently. Looking forward to meeting y'all.

There will likely be some of both. I will be tending the fire.

This trip I think it would be best to camp close to where we park (where the trees are) because some will be comeing in on different days and times.

Yelp,,, my wife is not a big hiker, so you may be having company next to the fire. that reminds me, she will take my WB blackbird

No need. I'll bring a trailer load of firewood...just bring your chair.

I'll prolly bring my canoe, too, just in case.

I believe my self and another user here, LeviJ4, will be attending. We may be bringing a friend with us but he hasn't sprung for a hammock yet, you can't miss him, he'll be the guy on the ground.

Yes, I'm planning on being there. I would like to hike around and maybe canoe but since Sat. will be my only full day I'm not sure what all I will be able to do. I may take off a full day Friday and try to come early, but for now I'm planning on arriving 5-6ish on the 12th and leaving the morning of the 14th.

When Oldgringo says a trailer of firewood, he does not exagerate. There is a forest missing somewhere when he loads up.

I'm sure hoping I can make this - I enjoy that campfire time a bunch.

If he's looking for a hammock, let folks on here know and I bet there is enough gear in closets to give him a sample to try, or to get him hooked outright.
