I would say that would depend on when you arrive and how much snow there is ....after a few snowshoes and pulks go through there should be a decent trail....I will be there first thing Friday and I will make a few trips back and forth....maybe another member can chime in with some other info

A lot of people snow mobile through there, you can make it just fine with just boots, just easier with snowshoes

Can't wait to freeze my butt off! I will definitely be layering my underquilt as I've never hammocked in the snow before. Looking forward to meeting all of you that can make it.
I plan on taking a 1/2 day at work on that Friday so I hope to be up to the mountain around 2pm. Setting up in the dark sucks. Setting up in the dark, in the snow is even worse.
I've got several tarps I'm bringing but am looking forward to setting up my Noah 16' for the first time (definitely don't want to try that in the dark).

    Hey all,
I've never hung in the snow yet. I'd love to go! I have a new UGQ 0 degree UQ to try out. My subaru was recently totaled when a truck hit it, so I don't have transportation at my disposal. If anyone is up to give me a ride from North Portland, I'd be into going. The earliest I'd be able to leave would be Friday after 1pm, otherwise on schedule I'm amenable.
Also, have a spare set of snowshoes to share.
