    Best or what you do

to add Silnet to your seams.

Anyone have a suggestion of how to add silnet to your seam.
Hang it on the wall, spread it out on the floor?

I just got my winter dream and a sweet piece of work...btw...

I am heading out today to pick up some Silnet and was just wondering what, or how you set up your tarp to apply the sealant?

Spread on floor or over a smooth 2x4 and saw horses. Use a small brush or finger. I do it in and out ....
Take your time to let it dry.

More often than not, I spread my tarp out on the floor. I've used a diningroom table a few times too. The table isn't really long enough though, so the floor usually wins out.

I like to hang my tarp and pull it as taut as possible. I think the sealer gets a better chance to penetrate all of the stitching that way. I use a foam brush and my finger to really work it into the seam and stitching.

That's how I do it... stretched tight to open up those needle holes & a disposable foam brush to force the silicon into every available opening.
Back & forth, pushing & drawing hard w/ the foam brush, forcing it in.

Then let it dry that way... stretched tight. Then when you stretch it tight between two trees, you're not going to pull the silicon from the position it dried in.
I too will something make and joy in it's making

I also string it up and I use silicone mixed with mineral spirits. Much cleaner look.

Yep, I didn't mention that but I use a thinned solution too. The thinning solution blends the new silicon w/ the original silicon in the tarp, making a nice neat job.

I've also heard of thinning and then using a small syringe to get the sealant just where you want it. This is what I will do next time since I usually end up with a silicone seal wider than what I really need.

String mine up between the entertainment center and closet doorknob, leave it up for a day to dry. I try to do this right before the in-laws come over.
