I'm watching your Palmetto Trail video right now, nice work!
Do you have any photos or video of how you attach your camera to the clip?

I'll get working on some photos that show it and post them in here.

Nice little TR/GR. I also appreciated what you said about being alone vs going with others- it makes a difference when you're alone and can just concentrate on what you need to be thinking about without being distracted by others.

    Thanks Cal!

My problem with hiking by myself is slowing down enough to enjoy my surroundings. I'm always questioning in my mind how much farther I have to go and do I have enough time to lollygag and enjoy the scenery or push on in case I get too tired ... My mind is always fighting with itself when I do not have someone there to talk to. I need to learn to slow down, relax, look around, enjoy the scenery as I hike along. I typically do all of this when I get to camp two hours earlier than I thought I would and then wish I'd taken a bit more time to see that side trail, enjoy that water fall a bit longer, etc.

Here are some photos that show each part of the system. It's made up of two different pieces, the clip that attaches to the strap of your pack:

And the quick-release plate that screws in to the bottom of the camera:

Now I took the plate off the camera so you can see more clearly. You slide the plate downwards into the clip and it locks into place:

You can twist the red knob at the top of the clip in order to lock it, and when you want to remove the camera from the clip, you just press the red button and pull up on the camera.
