Wow, I just saw this! Glad I took a look in the hangs section! First big hang I've noticed in my backyard, LOL....Is there still room for a first-timer?!

Well, I went ahead and signed up....Let me know if that's not okay (if you're at capacity already). I'm close, LD, so let me know if you need anything local!! I will also plan to bring my 12-string....just don't expect too much, LOL. Very exciting!

Awesome Fugibilly, Glad you got signed up, hangs for made for first timers! And you're right over in Kingsport? We're practically neighbors! And thank you for wanting to bring your guitar, there are so many musically inclined folks her in TN it just seemed fittin to throw a Hootenanny!

Thinking this hike might be too much driving & time - would have to wake up too early to make it work, and that's not my thing, LOL. Depending on the weather, if clear then maybe an out and back hike from Carvers Gap including visits to Overmountain shelter and the top of Grassy Ridge Bald. If threat of thunderstorms, then maybe a long hike from Carvers Gap to Iron Mountain Gap, the latter being only 15min from camp. Would like to see who might be interested in these longer hikes on Sat.
