Although I don't have a Chill Gorilla tarp, I've been pleased with the other Chill Gorilla gear I've purchased (snakeskin). Appreciate the review.

Looks like a great value. Thanks for the review.
I have a chill gorilla tarp. It took rain for 10 straight hours and kept me dry.

I'll also mention that I bought their blue 12' tree loop straps to go with a Dutchware hammock I was gifting to someone. The straps were $16, polyester, came with carabiners, and were better made than the typical cheap overseas stuff I see. An excellent value for casual hanging and camping.

True so true. The logo is very obnoxiously large.
I feel like I'm a wilderness billboard when I use the Chill-Gorilla. Yes, it is an awesome hex tarp and worth the cost of $37 to $47 based on color. (I paid 49.99)
A very similar tarp is available and marketed under the "ProVenture" label. It is also slightly less expensive. It is listed at $30 (Blue,Green, Teal colors) and $31 (Black) The colored tarps come with 4 wire stakes and the Black one comes with 4 aluminum tri-beam stakes. ProVenture is currently running a 15% off sale so cost is currently $25.50-$26.35 on amazon.
The tarp material, and 12' hex cut are the samebetween the two brands. The difference is the ProVenture includes brass grommets at the tie-outs. This makes it super nice for porch mode set ups. Both tarps are 144" Tie-out Tip to Tie-out Tip with 142" actual tarp ridge length. But the best feature the ProVenture has over the Chill Gorilla is the logo is reasonable and not obnoxious.
I own both tarps, and if I had to choose. I would choose the, ProVenture over the Chill Gorilla. Why... #1 base cost and #2 because of the logo size. They are basically the exact same tarp from the same manufacturer otherwise, just different custom labels. There are other manufacturers with this same tarp also, so a little Amazon shopping may be of value.
Finally, These comments only apply to the Hex tarp. ProVenture only offers the one style while CG offers other styles if your needs require doors etc.

Is there a need to seam seal the Chill Gorilla?
I bought this same tarp, and I like it so far. I have used it twice. Once in a very lite rain with no leaks.
