I really hope to be able to make this as I have never attended a group hang before. I'll be bringing my boy and hopefully a friend that I am trying to get into hammock camping. Not sure if I will be able to stay the whole time would love to meet some fellow hangers in the area.

If your going to this hang please watch this post... We have received a lot of rain in the Mulberry River area and the river levels are very high... It rises fast and drops fast. The stage is good up to 4.5 ft its now over 9.43 and raising. The only issue is that we are to get more rain Wed night and I'm not sure what the levels will be by this weekend. If the river is too high Thursday afternoon the campgrounds will be closed. I recommend if river to high thur we move our hammock hang to Cove Lake headed up the mountain to Mt Magazine near Russellville. The lake is small, so canoes and kayaks can be used and there is hiking... If we have to use Cove Lake I'll get there early Friday morning and will post what site I'm at.
Again, I'll let you know by 12 noon Thursday.

My sub at work for Friday bailed on me today. I'm still trying to secure another, but I'm not holding my breath. Unfortunately, it is looking like I will be unable to attend. Y'all have a good time.
sounds like it may be too high to kayak even without more rain.
Cove Lake may be a good option.
I should be bringing a couple of extra yaks if anyone needs one. I'm headed there as soon as I get off work Thursday and maybe goof off in Sherwood for the night. See ya Friday morning! (Wherever)
I may try to come out Saturday and stay the night. Ozark is just down the road from me....
What are the plans for camping? Hitting the trail and finding a spot? Camping in a camp ground?
OK,,, We dodged the big rain...
We will be camping at Redding Campgrounds on the Mulberry River... I and several others are leaving early Friday morning and should be there between 8 to 9am. There is floating, hiking or just hanging out... There is a nice backwoods restaurant at Byrds campground just down the road... We will be having dinner there Friday evening if your interested in going. Saturday evening we will be having our potluck...
