Maybe talk with some of the other vendors and see if they're interested in sharing space with you for a nominal fee.

Grant, if you want to pay the Net-jets tab for my to fly into Abingdon (FBO), I would be happy to take you up on your offer.

P.S. - It's really nice to be back on HF...I missed this place!

Net-Jets! Who is it you think you are mister?
I wish you could make it, but totally understand your desire to live it up during graduation. It's no Trail Days, but at least you'll make the lilac festival.

Like my mother has always said, the answer is always no if you don't ask!

We'll see where I am this coming summer, but Rochester really is gorgeous in the summer months! I wouldn't mind spending some more time here...

Might I suggest doing Hardcore for two days after traildays. A great way to help the trail & meet some great people, like Bob Peoples The "Slave driver in charge".
Sign up at the ATC tent on Sat, then meet there AM on Sunday. I suggest getting / bringing a decent pair of work gloves, just in case.
When you have a backpack on, no matter where you are, you’re home.
PAIN is INEVITABLE. MISERY is OPTIONAL.

...and hand warmers, and freezing rain gear, and band-aids, and an AED, and, and, and. That guy will work you right into your grave and giggle about it! I don't suggest this for anybody that is in the process of a thru. You'll need some recovery time. But, an excellent idea for those just visiting. Just be prepared to work HARD.

I would also like to make this event, however I will need to hitchike more than likely. Does anyone know if this is easily done? I mean, it's a pretty big event isnt it? I think I will most likely be in New Hampshire, if I make it that far...

If you can get anywhere along the AT corridor you'll find gaggles of hikers heading in that direction. There's a pretty good ride board that develops on whiteblaze every year too. That site is still useful for a few things...

Good to know. I will check WB.

Hawk-eye- I promise I will be safe. More than likely the majority of travelers will be dirty hippies, and at that point, my smell will be the scariest of things. Nobody will want to get close enough to strangle me, at least thats what I'm hoping
