I have the ENO Guardian and I like the full all around protection,,,, some places down here, the skeeters act like bug spray is a protien or sumthing.
I have also been messing with some netting to make a bottom/suspended, summer bug sheild for my Hennessys.( kinda like a SS but out of bug net material) The top net is good, but the bottom is exposed on HHs.

I posted this before, but thought it might be worth posting again.
I really liked this mod to my ENO double (which I let a friend borrow & haven't seen it since).
I leave the flaps at the head end hanging outside & overlap the ones going from chest to foot end.
Been thing of doing something similar again.
I too will something make and joy in it's making
I've done the same thing with my ENO. The extra material can come in handy:

finally got around to changing up my ENO single last night. I removed the chord and carabiners, replaced them with whipping line. Attached some whoopie-slings for suspension, added in a ridgeline. Being a poor college student, I just cut down the eno slap straps to 5 feet, wrap them around the tree and clip both ends of the straps to a biner with the whoopie-slings going to the hammock.
Got to hang it up on campus last night to test it out. Lots of response from passer-bys....best response was, "man you dumb if you think that thin *** shoelace is gonna keep you off the ground!" after explaining the amsteel whoopie slings, he seemed less concerned.
next step is to cut up and trim down the eno bug net so its less bulky...any suggestions?

My lovely wife and I led a "beginners" backpacking outing at Land Between the Lakes this weekend. Last week she announced she'd like to try a hammock instead of tenting. So, off to REI go I on Friday (we left early Saturday), with my 20% coupon and a gift card from Christmas. Got her an ENO double.
First thing, I took off those dang heavy carabiners. For hanging, I just ran a line I had through the loop where the 'biner had been, then wrapped it around a tree half a dozen times. The friction alone held it in place just fine. I'll work on a suspension system when I have more time.
She slept fine without netting and without a tarp, under the stars. Attached pic shows her nose poking out of her sleeping bag yesterday (Sunday) morning.

I got myself some of those awesome Dutch clips, and 1" webbing...makes a great suspension.
Also use a Kelty 9 tarp.
Just got the Guardian Bug Net...been too cold to use it but my son tried it on his...just to check it out.
Looking at moving on to a Blackbird...still shopping.
Yep gotta love the ENO. Have a single and a double. The double did the whoopie/ridge line thing with a 2QZQ 4 pocket organizer(4po). Now doing the same thing to the ENO single for my wife.
Tortoise never for a moment stopped, but went on with a slow but steady pace straight to the end of the course.
