NC >2017 5th Annual Smoke Butt Hang< >May 25th-28th 2017< Falls Lake Rolling View Group Campground.
Co-hosts for the weekend: KingsFord and Hotlips

Alrighty folks let's plan on having some good food, good company and good weather here in North Carolina for a Smoke Butt Hang.

Date: Thursday May 25th, 3:00pm til Sunday May 28th 1:00pm.

Where: Same place as last year, Durham, NC at Falls Lake Rolling View Group Campground (10 MILES FROM DURHAM 12 MILES FROM RALEIGH). Rolling View - 4201 Baptist Road in Durham. Baptist Road is on NC 98, approximately five miles east of Durham and seven miles west of NC 50. Coordinates 36.019039,-78.726387. Site 4 will be the site again.
Remember site 4 slopes down and goes right to the water. Lots of trees to hang from.

Amenities: Water is available on site, as well as grills and picnic tables. We will have a fire ring at the site. There are FLUSH toilets, HOT showers, parking, hiking trails, fishing, and kayaking. Pets are allowed, but must be on a leash at all times. No pets inside park buildings. Park rules apply.

We are hoping our fellow hangers will be generous in donating to help pay for the site, firewood, paper products and food items.

What: It's the Smoke Butt ? “The group meal plan is BBQ."

Plan for Meals:
Thursday: Hotlips will provide Dinner. Oriental Chicken Salad on Croissants, Chips, and Red Velvet Brownies.

Friday: Breakfast and lunch are on your own.

Friday: Hotlips will provide Dinner. Chicken and Dumplings, Campfire Spaghetti, Green Beans, Rolls and Banana Pudding.

Saturday: Breakfast and lunch are on your own.

Saturday Dinner will be our Smoke Butt. We are encouraging all our great Butt smokers to participate again this year. They do an awesome job. Hotlips will be supplying some special beans, pasta salad and cobblers, but we’d love it if you could bring a side or dessert as well. We are going to plan for 5:00pm for serving, so that visitors may come enjoy as well.
We had great success with our drink table, so we’d love to continue it this year. Please bring a 2 liter or more container of your favorite drink to share. Ice and cups will be available.
We would love it if people could help out with ice. Anyone coming in Friday or Saturday please consider bringing a bag.

Please be sure you sign up everyone in your group, and any visitors, so we can be sure we have enough food to go around. We’ve never been short yet, but we don’t want to chance it. We will have a signup sheet for what you wish to bring for a side dish as well, that way we won’t have too many repeats.

Oh sweet. I'm off that weekend, and all I have to do is take one holiday to make the entire dealy-bob. I'm in!

Bad news, and good news. The bad is that I won't be able to get there until late afternoon on Friday. The good news is that I'll be brining both Brooks, and his sister with me for hanging.

Hey Corey, I was just thinking about ya'll. We won't be able to make it to the Fat Butt hang this year, so I was thinking maybe I can talk KingsFord into coming to your hang. I'll have to work on it and let ya know. Hope you can make the Smoke Butt.
