REALLY glad this is happening. Planning to come out Thursday. That is the nice thing about a local hang, even if I couldn't get the day off Friday, I could still camp Thursday and go to work from camp.

Dang, I am so ready for a hang. Of course I'm also ready for Spring, minus the yellow pollen clouds I know are coming. I'm glad we can do the Smoke Butt this year. I like getting in one summer hang, and it's close to home.

I'd love to make it out to this hang if it's cool for a stranger to crash. I've tent camped at that spot before. I have whole hog BBQ cooking experience and would love to help anyway I can. Would be cool to meet some of the other locals as well.
We'd love to have you come. No such thing as a stranger at a hang. There will be some folks smokin some great tasting meats. Some will bring them already cooked, waiting to heat up ( we have them covered too ). There are lots of us locals that are gonna be there. We'll regale you with stories of other hangs, and let you know which ones we like to attend in the area. Hope to see you there.

Well with the weather we are having in March, it could still be cool weather come MAY. I'm having pulled pork no matter what the temp.

This was the first hang I showed up to. Just showed up, no posts, not on the spreadsheet, just walked in, and found my place in about 10 minutes. You'll love it, and welcome in advance. I also have extra gear in case you find yourself lacking. As do many of us hanging there.
I'll run a smoker no matter what weather is. My boy is coming this year (16), and both my roomates (dogs). I'm working on Littlebit (7). Gotta convince her daddy to give her up. We'll see if I can get his little girl for Memorial Day weekend.....NOT gonna be easy.

Me too, Starfish. She's an avid hanger already. Before we went on our hike, I gave her four choices on which way to sleep. As soon as I said, "hammock". She didn't hesitate. Now, it's the only way she wants to camp.
She's also small enough to not need a UQ. During the night, Littlebit rolled off of the pad. She woke up with a mess of hair, and nothing but smiles after a 25* night tangled in her 30* sleeping bag. Kids are awesome.
