If I recall there is ample spring water at Ramsey.

So Drum Man, pick a date. March is good for me and JAKERULEZ! (Also a drummer)

Actually, we (Old Dominion Hangers) do have a planning page up! https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...rs-Spring-Hang
I should have the sign up page up in the next few days.
We are also going to be looking at planning our summer float/hang, on the South Fork of the Shenandoah river soon.

Awesome! I am currently finishing up my real estate license so until that is done, my planning is temporarily on hold.

Sorry late to the show here, but sounds like I didn't miss anything. Lets get this ball rolling for 2018! Mountain biking has pretty much eaten up all my time over the last couple of years and I have done more bikepacking than backpacking. I would love to throw on my pack get my lines wet and hang the hammock. I might have to get tying some fly's over the winter for this. Also would be great to catch up with you guys again, its been a while.

I backpacked Ramsey's Draft at the end of September this year and the Draft was completely dry at the parking lot. As we hiked up, there were pools of water along the way. We decided to load up on water
at Hiner springs incase the spring at the top was dry. When we got to the top to camp the spring was bone dry. Normally I hear that you have to take you boots off and on all the way up because
of all the creek crossings. We did not have to take our boots off at all. We ended up doing about 10 miles on day one because we doubled back for water after climbing up to Hardscrabble Knob. Great hike and I
    highly recommend.

Hey all. I live right near it. One of my favorite places to hike and hang. If you ever need a water report just let me know. I can always run up and check it out. I was there 2 weeks ago and the bottom looked dry but plenty of water flowing as I headed up.

KnotHere, I may be taking you up on that later in the year. Recovering from ACL surgery right now. Ramseys is beautiful, we really enjoyed it up there.
