That's why the fellers on the homebrew forum call the wife SWMBO. She who must be obeyed. Home brewing is expensive to get into and wives typically protest many of the expenditures. It's also time consuming. So to keep SWMBO happy, funding and quality time must come into account.

Funny, my first impression was that it was Shug swinging there, but then I realized it couldn't be because he wasn't simultaneously juggling and riding a mono.

Out of curiosity, I sent an email asking about hanging hammocks to ZipTieDomes.com. Here's the response:

    -----------------------------------------------------------
Yes, the Shelter Domes will support over 300 lbs from one of the hubs.
Here is a picture of me in a hammock in a 3v 5/8 Shelter dome (I weigh 250 lbs):
    ziptie1.jpg

The Standard Greenhouse Kits we sell are not strong enough for hammocks, as they use 1" PVC pipe for struts. They will support around 180 to 200 lbs from the hubs.

But the Shelter Dome kits use 1.5" Schedule 40 PVC pipe, which will easily support several hammocks.

You can purchase the 17' Geodesic Shelter Dome kit here:

    http://www.ziptiedomes.com/geodesic-...o-Dome-Kit.htm

Or just buy the 6" Shelter Dome Hubs and cut your own struts from 1.5" PVC pipe:

Call us at (931) 858-6892 if you have any questions.

Me thinks Mr Hurt has seen too many ENO ads!

Well, it's about $500 less expensive than 4 tato stands. In a comparison, there are pros and cons to each system, but it's certainly feasible for family hanging if you have the yard for it AND you don't mind leaving it set up. Cover it with polycryo instead of ugly blue tarps?

17' wide with 6" Super Hubs - 2v Geodesic Shelter Silo Dome Kit - $885.00

I have no affiliation with the company.

Isn't Schedule 40 PVC pipe UV sensitive unless it's painted?

Not when it's hot out, Sch 40 PVC pipe gets pretty flexy in the summer heat.

You are correct, it will discolor and become brittle.
