I'd love a copy of the service manual. Can you post it to GoogleDocs perhaps, and share the link??

Also update on the modification the the length of the one touch button hole lever. Upon further inspection I realized there is a max up "stop" in the bottom of the lever. This stop will hit the bottom of the attachment slide bracket. I'll I had to do was adjust/bend the bottom of the bracket so the lever would not push up too high and hit the BH rod end cap.

Hi All, Just a followup note. Since my adjustments stated in my original post the machine has NOT stopped feeding mid seam. I believe the machine was indeed jumping into buttonhole mode. I've since done a good size pontoon boat corner/love seat with some very long seams, and it has not re occurred.

One other note - I was having trouble with initial seam stitching on a new seam. I was holding down the thread ends until a few stitches were made. I somewhere that using plastic bobbins can cause this as its so light it will jump during the initial start and cause rat nesting on the under side at the beginning of the stitch. This issue has been greatly eliminated by changing to a metal bobbin.

    Thanks All.
