The pullouts, even though they aren't that heavy, give shape to the hammock and seem to increase the usable width of the Chameleon. It's one of those little things that has a big effect. Anyone else notice this?

Absolutely, I agree! I took them off and I liked it much better with the pullouts being used. But oh those zippers! Pure genius.

I did a quick "unboxing" on my YouTube Channel. No set up yet as it snowed over two feet here and I'm not one of the winter camper crowd yet! Although, I did opt for the complete Chameleon package. Top cover, bugnet, peak shelf and organizer.

1: Why did I have to leave the forums all winter and not know about this.
2: Tips on convincing wife I need my hennessy, 2 ENOs AND this?
3: Well done Dutch and crew, these look amazing, and I love the fully modular functions. Jealous.

I don't have my Chameleon yet (backer 6xx), but this is my back yard looking from my deck. Hammock campers heaven. It looks really desperate for a Chameleon. If someone wants to send me theirs I would be happy to take pictures. IMG_20170314_172342228_HDR.jpg

I got #8 out on a hikie-poo this past weekend before the east was covered in ice. My week long hike was postponed due to the storm. I took this beaut out on an 18deg inaugural overnight instead.
