Rick...
I have only been a stalker on the forum until now. I ordered a raven a week or so ago and check multiple times a day. So I am not alone, good to know.
Thankfully I have a tarp from UGQ to check on also. I can't wait to leave the ground.
My Sparrow arrives tomorrow !! Happy Dace!!!

+1 on been there done that. Photos won't do a DH justice. To hold it, feel the fabric, see the attention to detail, and best of all, to lay in it.....bliss. Congratulations. Today is the birthday. Enjoy.

The good news is that a DH purchase is the culmination of your hammock journey. Once you get one you have attained hammock nirvana, and you get your life back. Remember the good life you had before this hammock addiction took hold of you? Yeah, that life.

True my only side effect has been poor sleep an irritability when I don't sleep in my sparrow. Hey a sparrows cheaper then a temperpidic and way more comfortable.
In the shadows
Not just cheaper but significantly lighter if you ever have to move. I use a wooden hammock stand in my bedroom, which comes apart which is perfect for moving. A double mattress is a two man job to move. Even the hammock stand can be broken into smaller parts each can be moved by one person.
This time next week, I'll be opening packages (maybe 10!) full of hammock goodness, including a new Raven and a second-hand Darien. Maybe, just maybe I do have a problem...
