This was my first year with a hammock and my best year of backpacking /camping as I got out 30 nights this year.

Haven't packed a tent at all in the last year.

Not only have I always been more comfortable, but I don't hear any complaints (room for gear, bugs, cold, etc in their tents ) from the Boys anymore.

Life has been so much simpler. I actually enjoy setting up in the back yard. It feels more natural to just string up and jump on in at a moments whim.

String it up Brother! And, don't forget to include the reflector for a little added cozzyness!

Opps... I voted before I read the thread & saw that you were asking for outdoor hangings
The way things have gone the last year or so, I haven't been gettin out much I'm afraid. Maybe 8 or 10 nights, if I'm lucky.
At least my hammock can rock me to sleep in my room every night
I too will something make and joy in it's making

Monthly stats for Nov to Apr vary a great deal typically 2 or so/mon.

May, June and Oct typically about 6-8 nights each.

July, Aug and Sep about 10 - 12 each.

last physical year I had over 100 nights in the country-country being either on a trail or living out of a sea kayak or haning in a nat. park or state park...
If I count hangs at home the number is higher. How? I'm off every other week

I made a new year's resolution to spend at least 30 days camping this year so I'm hoping to best that number. As of now I'm in the 10ish range for last year.
