    Describe a Peapod

Does this sound more like a Peapod rather than a Snugfit ?

Full length hook and loop enclosure with a tube at each end, one of these has a length of cord with toggles on and the other is empty.

No radial spacers or shock cord hanging loops just a flat blanket which velcros into a tube.

Makes me wonder if the middle is open, and only the ends are closed.

That sounds like a Top Quilt that becomes a Sleeping Bag... could be used like a PeaPod, depending on the dimensions.

I ordered a Snugfit from Ed but I think I've been sent a Peapod instead.

Just paid nearly £50 in Customs charges as well this morning when I picked it up I'm a bit gutted as I wanted to use it on a trip in a couple of weeks too.

I've emailed Ed so I'll see what he comes back with. I understand mistakes can happen so I'm sure we'll sort something out.

Just thought I'd run the description past you guys as I thought I was losing the plot.

A Snugfit will have Spandex Micro Mesh on each end.

I'll post some pics up later as I'm just going out now.

I hope this didn't come across like I was having a dig a Ed either by the way, just wanted to make sure I hadn't ordered the wrong thing.

Definitely no micro mesh on this one, just a hemmed flat blanket with a cord tube at each end, fold it in half lengthways and it closes up with velcro.

Sounds like a PP to me, but as Jeff suggested there are lots of pictures on Ed's website. I know Ed as do many others here and I am certain he will make it right for you. The PP can be used on most any gathered end hammock.

A PeaPod is big and fits around the entire hammock. A SnugFit only covers the bottom of the hammock.

Just compare your product to the pictures on Ed's website and here...there are a lot of them.

If you bought a Snugfit and got a PeaPod, you got a great deal!

Exactly. A SF is great with 12 oz of 900fp down, but a pod cost about $30 more for 19 oz of 900 fp down, or about 50% more down. ( not to downgrade the SF, a lot of it's cost is in the elaborate suspension method and other things that contribute to such a perfectly snug fit)

Bargain or not, if you definitely prefer the SF style to pod style, you won't be happy. I hope it works out for you, I'm sure Ed will make it right.

    P.S.
Surely if it came from Speer it says right on the package exactly what it is, along with details about how much down, etc?
