I have a feeling I won't manage to start packing until Thursday - that's my usual M.O.

I will break my long absence from the outdoors and attend. I, like most of you, will attempt to bring a lighter pack due to me not hiking for a few months. I always enjoyed this hike and the long ones are usually the best. The plan is arrive Friday afternoon. I hope to see everyone there.
Good to hear you're coming out, Dave!

This is beginning to sound like the "Long March", with everyone wearing orange do you think they'll see us on board the ISS??
I am going hiking this weekend?
quick question. ..Is there a fee at the entrance? and do we need tag for the car for camping or show register for campsite?
C+1 and family,
No fee, but you will need a registration form on the front dash of your car, I assume that your family are coming in one vehicle! All the parking registrations will be under the driver's side windshield wiper in a baggy. Look for the Brownish late model 4 door Honda Accord with FL Tag AC3 692. I'm not sure how many vehicles there are going to be, I'm printing out enough passes for the number of people who have "officially" committed to coming. As of this posting that is number is 18. Since I don't have a printer at my house, my wife has to print them out at work, so if anyone is on the fence about coming, make it "official" by Thursday morning or there may not be enough registrations for those late comers. I am hoping to be there by 2 PM Friday.
A little history.
Somewhere around 10 years ago, I first met old dog at the start point for "this" event. That event was organized by Flackfizer.
Old Dog was sitting on his stool (the same one) in the center of the trail, waiting for something to happen.
It's been a good decade.
grinder
Yes it has been good Grinder! Actually only 6 years ago. But they have been good times. I found the best bunch of people to spend time in the woods with. Looking forward to even more years.
Loaded up the low country boil this afternoon and it's waiting in the freezer.
Most of us end up poorer here but richer for being here. Olddog, Fulltime hammocker, 365 nights a year.
