    Stormcrow Burrow Top Quilt

The package came last night and I am still thrilled, and cooing like my kids at Christmas. The craftsmanship, attention to detail, loft, etc. is amazing. I LOVE IT!

    Here's some basic details:

    Burrow, Top Quilt: 24.3 oz
Crowsnest 3/4 Bottom Quilt: 19.85 oz
    TOTAL: 44.15 oz

This is a custom job, and I think there's a little overstuff in the down as well. The fabric has a great feel and looks stunning. Stitching is superb and everything is so well put together and planned that I can think of nothing to comment on except WOW!

The Burrow I have includes a sewn foot box, a double elastic cord around the mid-section, and a draft collar cord lock. There is a great draft collar and an additional head piece. I am 70" tall and Burrow comes up to my nose. The top quilt fits perfectly in my hammock and has ample width to tuck on my sides.

I slept in my hammock last night (indoors) just to get the feel of everything. I had the best sleep I've had in a while in a hammock. It was amazing what a well-fit top quilt means. It has made a huge difference in terms of bulk inside the hammock and has made it easy to move around. The quilt stays on top and I don't get pulled around like I've had done in traditional sleeping bags.

AMAZING! This quilt gets my highest recommendation. I am eager to go out and get some real-world testing done, after which I will report back.

Don't tell me the pictures are in your backyard! That combo looks real nice! Ive been thinking about the Burrow. Need to pace myself, got a KAQ coming!

Since you said you slept in it indoors, shall I assume you set it up outside for pics? At first glance, I thought wow, maybe that setup is really warm without a tarp! Is the UQ the 3/4 size?

I took my two oldest sons on a hike with me near our home, but not our back yard. It's a beautiful area and I'm planning a stealth hang there sometime soon. I took the hike specifically to test some other gear and take photos along the way. The outside temperature was 40°F and we all took little rests inside the hammock as I cooked our lunch out on the mesa. The quilts were HOT, both in look/feel and temperature.

I'll get some more measurements and feedback once I get a chance to test the quilts outdoors.

That is a SWEET looking piece of equipment. Looking forward to getting on "the list" this week for the Burrow. Then the dreaded wait begins . . .

Sweet looking gear tested in sweet looking country! Look forward to your further testing.

What is the "little" peak/hill behind you in the 1st pic? Reminds me of Kendrick, sort of. Or, just one of the many smaller volcanic domes in that area. Miss it!

We were hiking on Campbell Mesa, north of the country club where we live. The peak behind us is Mount Elden.

WoW dejoha, those look like some pretty sweet quilts, am I ever jelous of you that I dont have my winter ptarmigan and burrow yet. Greenlespaul I feel your pain in waiting, but every second is worth the wait for craftmanship that excellent. I like the grey color to, I got mine in black and green, cant wait to get my stormcrow!!! but all good things come to those that wait
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.
