Point me toward a decent hex tarp

Is it possible to find a sub $50 hex tarp?

First one I found on Amazon. Will it cover a 11ft hammock? Yes. Is it cheap? Yes. Does it weigh over double what a UGQ tarp weighs? Yes

    https://www.amazon.com/Camping-Essen...arp&th=1&psc=1

    This tarps weight: 793grams
    UGQ Tarp: 383grams

    Lightweight
    Cheap
    Durable

Saw those on ebay. Can't say I'd trust it more than a few times. I'd recommend spending ~$65 for a Hennessy Hex, or just do it once and pay around $115 for a solid performer like the Warbonnet Mamajamba. You don't miss the extra cash after 5 years when it's still as good as day 1.

Ya. I'm looking hard at the Hennessy Hex.

I've got a Hennessy Hex, had it since 2010, used it a couple dozen times. To it's credit, I really like the little line pockets at every tie-out point, and I've never had so much as a droplet strike me when beneath it, i.e. it's always kept me dry. My only complaint is that it can be challenging to get to the ridge line pockets when it is in its snake skins. I'd either want smaller rings on the ridge tie-outs or a larger opening in the skins. But it's been a solid tarp and a good purchase decision. I just recently switched to a Tadpole from Dutch, which I'm also happy with. YMMV.
    Thanks,

I've got that tarp and it's lightweight and super easy to setup. I've had it in medium to light rain with no problems. You just have to pitch it low and watch out for the wind direction. I got mine for around $40 when he had a 2nds sale.

Can't help you with Sub $50, but for a bit more and yet a good value, I'd look at UGQ Hex Hanger Tarps - Cat Cut (as well as other brands).
