3 Day Snowshoe Yosemite -1° Temps!

A new low temp record at-1*!! Started at Badger Creek Ski resort snowshoed 5 miles up to Dewy Point overlooking Yosemite Valley!

Snowshoed back down to Glacier road to dig in for the first night where temps got down to -1*. Stayed warm in Goosefeet Down Jacket and pants! Sure I look like a Michelin Man but these pants are going to be part of my standard equipment. True test for my UQ LL 0*Reaper and UGQ 0* Renegade- WARM all night! Great duo!!

Used my fleece jacket for frost bib... Thanks Shug!! You've taught me how to stay alive in freezing weather down to a second set of wool insoles.

Day two snowshoed up to Glacier Peak enjoying the views along the remaining 6 mile!

    Half Dome in the background..

Found a great use for your snow shoe for under your stool to keep it from sinking!!! Works great!

Night two at Glacier Peak only got down to 16* still toasty warm..

The surprise of the trip was an unexpected Bigfoot sighting!!

About 24 miles over the 3 days!

Great winter test and new low!!

Congratulations, looks like a great trip. It's always scary running into Sasquatch like that, just don't "mess" with him... they tend to get upset...

Love the pictures especially the one with the fire going down the falls. However can not get the video to run.

Amazing, thanks for sharing! I may have to put this on my bucket list (the Yosemite trip, not the bigfoot sighting, but now that I'm thinking about it....).

Do you have a GPS trail of this trek? Beautiful area and I love the picture of the setup in the middle of what appears to be a road. I would love to see this area but me and snow do not get along. I've never been in snow that I didn't freeze my feet off so I tend to not like it but the beauty is unbelievable.
