Question Hennessey tarp prusiks on a Whoopie Hook suspension

I'm about to order new suspension for my HH from Dutchware. But I'm having a tough time deciding between a standard whoopie sling with the fixed eye attached to the hammock end, or the whoopee hook suspension with a continuous loop attached to the hammock. I'm leaning toward the whoopee hook option except I'd like to have the capability of switching over to the stock Hennessey tarp when I don't need the protection of my Winter Dream tarp.

My biggest concern is that they might slide off the end of the loop. Does anyone see a problem with reattaching the Hennessey hooks to the continuous loop?

I already have tree straps with the original dutch clip sewn on and plan of getting a set of dutch buckles to replace the toggles I currently use.

    Thanks

I have been running my Hennessy with. Whoopie slings for 2 years jest with just long whoopsies whipped into the hammock now with large 8 inch continuous loops and a set of Dutch biners I have the prussik attachments on my whoopsies it makes it a little aquard when you have to change the extension length a lot between campsites but you just need to loosen the prussik a bit before you can shrink or extend the suspension, I then switched to a crl for my tarp but for hanging in my back yard I use the prussiks it pitches very similar to the traditional rope of the Hennessy

Thanks, Sventos. I think I'm over thinking things, as usual. :-)

Great question! I am interested in replace my HH stock suspension to beetle buckle. Does the prussik hooks would work propperly on tree straps?

The prussics were designed to be used on their spectra line. IF you change out that line then you will probably need to tie to the trees. You can rig something up but it isn't as adjustable as the prussic.

I replaced my HH suspension to Continuous Loops, and use Dutch Cinch Buckles and straps, and love the change.
Even before that, I went to Continuous Ridge Line for the tarp.
I wanted to separate the tarp from the hammock suspension anyway.
It made a big difference in keeping the tarp taught and allowed me more flexibility in tarp hanging.
