Another fan of OWS stuff. I have also ordered shockcord from thru hiker and have been pleased with the quality.
Trust nobody!
That one Stormcrow mentioned has the best all around pricing on your do-it-yourself gear needs.
If you only want shock cord - I believe Quest Outfitters might have a better price (unless you're ordering bulk). On just about everything else, OWF beats them - but not on shock cord.

Seller is good to go, I've bought a bunch of stuff off him over the years including 550 cord, milspec velcro and fastex hardware..
What diameter is good enough for UQ "ends" and an UQ suspension?
Yellow Jacket
wow you guys dont mess around ..thanks for the resposes
Not to diss the other places...
But I ordered a couple hundred feet of the 1/8 SC. Shipping was quick and the cord is of very nice quality.
Testing shows on the 1/8 that I got from this source...
Stretched to its limit produces 4.23 pounds of resistance.
7" relaxed stretches to 16".
yes thank you. I am going to check out the Supply Captain.. Since they are closer to me I might get shipments just a little faster than I do from OWF.
Also, I use 1/8" cord for suspension and 3/16 for the end channels
hey opie, how does that compare with any of the other vendors...? Do you know?

Well... seems like as good a place as any to throw up some test results....
The 7/32 I picked up here
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=160326845725
Produced 10.4 pounds at maximum extension. 5" relaxed stretches to 10".
3/16 Marine Grade I picked up here..
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...3756&viewitem=
Produced 2.12 pounds at maximum extension. 7" relaxed stretches to 12". I have some of this in 1/8 but didnt test it due to the dismal results I got with the 3/16.
1/8 MFP I picked up here..
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=370303591032
Produces 4 pounds at maximum extension. 7" relaxed stretches to 18".
1/4 Marine Grade I picked up here...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=220458773253
Produces 11.11 pounds at maximum extension. 5" relaxed stretches to 9". I have some 3/16 coming from this same seller and will test that once it arrives.
I havent ordered any from any of the above mentioned vendors...
