Has anyone made a gear Sling for their Ridgeline?

I took the easy way out and use a cheap walmart pack cover I found on the trail last summer. Attached to my whoopie sling and fixed ridgeline with prussicks. Works perfect.

Nice! What kind of pack was it?
I have the material to make one but not a pattern. Wasn't sure if it is just a rectangular gathered end like a mini hammock or not

I made a gear hammock. It doesn't hang from my ridgeline, it has its own suspension and hangs next to me. Works great, especially on those cold mornings when I want my coffee before I get out of bed.

You sleep with your coffee? But the bears will get ya lol;<)
I used a 2'×3' piece of treated ripstop, put a large hem on all four sides leaving two diagonally opposite Corners with an opening, ran zing it through the whole perimeter pulling the loops out of the diagonal corners and then put toggles on the loops. You have a pack cover / ground cover / gear hammock.
By all means, let's argue about whether or not a hammock will hurt a tree. All the while ignoring the fact that there is an island of garbage the size of Texas floating in the Pacific ocean. Or how about the fact that over 75% of the world's nuclear reactors are leaking...
Thanks! Sounds like I have a project Tonight, along with another idea for a ridgeline bag
