    Application pictures...

You have several options for attachment. You can use a biner, a toggle or you can girth hitch the prusik to a D-ring. I did not get a picture of a biner attachment, but that should be a no brainer...

OK... Girth Hitched prusik to one of the D-rings..

    Toggle...

The spliced 2" loop over your stake...

    Extended....

What I do with the extra line... Wrap it up figure 8 style..

This is an idea Bazza had about foul weather or cold pitching... 2 prusiks and using them as you attachment points...

Or if you would like to keep the tensioner in the line....

Also.. Unlike the constrictor type guy lines... These will work on spinn and cuben tarps without the tensioner.

    eye splice on both ends?

Opie, I love this idea for guy lines. I had an idea... perhaps you already thought of this but... It appears you just have an eye on one end (with the tensioner) and the other end is maybe just an end splice? If you had an eye splice on both ends, then you wouldn't need a second prussic to tie down close to the ground, just flip which end you put on the stake. Use the one with the tensioner when you have the room and the one without when you need to get really close.

    Does that make sense?

    dprez,

First I want to say all the credit for this idea should go to bazza2154. Its his idea that I unintentionally co-opted.

That does make sense... The tail does just have a back splice on it. Thats also a good idea...

I need to get out and play with the products more. Ive been so engrossed in finding materials that work, filling orders that Ive been slipping on the ingenuity side of things.

It takes right around 1 hour to make a set of four of these.

Wow, that's just beautiful, Opie! I really love seeing simple, but elegant solutions that just work, and this is definitely one of those!

    Kudos!

    Thanks Acer.

Again, the award goes to bazza for coming up with it.

    Just got mine this morning

    These arrived today:

Going snowshoeing with Tinny on Thursday, so I'll play around with 'em then. There'll probably be a video of our mucking about with winter hammock rigging and mini bull trail cooking later in the week.

-Love these Opie, can't wait to mess with 'em!
