Normally I'm good with written directions, but I got lost somewhere....

I larks head the gray (in the photo) loop around my tarp's tie-outs (be they D-rings or just webbing loops). I put the stake through the loop. That I understand.

Here's where I get lost, how exactly do I tie a prusik knot on the line while it is attached to the D-ring/strap? Or does the gray arrive already prusik'd onto the mainline?

After a bit of head scratching, it came to me: to form the larkshead, you must pass the entire tie out assy through the bight.

JRB has been using the green theraband on its Self Tensioning Lines (STLs)for almost five years now... Freezing really has not been an issue...Rain soaked stretched STLs have been customer reported as frozen but thawed and regain near normal elasticity...I'm sure these will also do well in limited freeezing conditions most of us encounter.

Thats what I noticed too. Once the TB returned to its relaxed state, it had regained its elastic properties.

The prusiks are already made and on the line.

**** you Opie. You are better then my ex-wife at getting me to part with my money. You must know her.

Awesome idea, I'll send you a message if there is any money left in the paypal account.

I have the Hennessy Hex tarp, are you suggesting I attach the D-ring to the stock tarp guy-lines? I can't quite image how that would go together...

P.S. I really love that rope you sent me, I keep seeing things all over the house I want to tie together. I don't think 200' was enough. Next time I'll buy 600'.
    I ride a recumbent.
I like to HAM it up on the CW.
    I use Linux.
    I play go.
Of course I sleep in a hammock!

No rush... Right now I am looking at a couple days lead time. Still working on an order now. Just taking a quick break then I need to go to bed.

The D-ring in the picture I posted was just a mock-up. The guy lines wont be coming with any D-rings. What youll do is attach the guy line to the ring on your current tarp like the picture suggests.
