Working on a step by step for my quilts, just not sure if I should do a video or just write it up. Until then, here's a look at my whole DIY setup, I got a chance to set it up this weekend, didn't have time to camp but at least got it all up at the same time. Have a look: https://youtu.be/OBb5gUNqJ7o

I sew things on youtube.
I don’t sew on commission, so please don’t ask. Thanks.
Finally getting out to test the quilts tonight, looks like the temperature is going down to low 40's high 30's Fahrenheit. Since the 2.5oz Climashield is only rated to 50 I will take along my Snugpak Cocoon as a backup, I tend to sleep warm so I'll push it as long as I can. I'll be car camping so I'm not to worried lol I'll report on how they performed.

Got out Friday night to give my quilt set a proper test, along with the whole hammock setup. I had a change of mind on the hammock itself, made myself a 10 foot out of 1.7oz Robic XL and swapped that in place of the 11 footer. So, for the quilts I used the ClimaShield 2.5oz insulation which is rated to 50 degrees. I tend to be a warm sleeper, and my ENO quilts I used last year had the same rating and I could push those into mid 30's before I had to layer up... so I was hoping for similar performance, the low was supposed to be 41.
I went car camping to the walk-in sites at Frances Slocum State Park in Wyoming, Pa. and the temps dropped to 36 in the campsite. I woke up around 3am, and was comfortable but my feet were a little cold, turned out I just didn't pull the drawstring tight enough and had slightly opened the foot box. I had my light 40 degree Teton Journey as a backup, so I threw that on over me... but at 36 I would have done that even with my ENOs.
So, all in all, very happy with the quilts and ClimaShield in general. The only thing I would change is the length of the top quilt, I shorted myself a little but nothing to bad. I talk a little about it in my video from the weekend, the hammock camping part is after the kayaking if you want to have a look.
