Guys,
It was long over due but she either never had time, didn't want to go, or had better offers but my daughter went hanging with me this weekend and we had a great time. I've had my eye on the perfect camp site for a long time and it turned out perfectly for our two hammocks and thanks to the guys that camped prior to us we even had wood in an area that would be hard to find a lot of good wood. I had to wait till she and I got off work on Friday so I was so afraid that this spot would be taken. Oddly enough when we pulled into the Sipsey trail head there was only one other vehicle so odds are in our favor. We didn't hike very far in and I found the site empty thank goodness. There were two water falls at the site one large one and then a smaller one. I'm amazed at how loud falling water can be. We found it hard to have a normal conversation over the sound but that was a minor issue compared to the beauty.
Here's a pic from our seats overlooking the fire with the water fall in the background:

Another water fall along the trail (one of dozens) that greet you in the Sipsey wilderness. This is Fall Creek Falls.

It was a memorable weekend for me and hopefully for her and hopefully we can get out again soon. When we left on Saturday evening both parking lots were packed at the Sipsey trail head so I now know to always get there on Fridays to get those premium sites.
