Hello all from East Tennessee

Hello all. Name's Charles Shepherd and I live in East Tennessee at the foothills of the Cumberland Plateau.

Finally was able to get a decent hammock and am working on gearing up for some backpacking/camping with it.

Have an ENO Doublenest (I've read the reviews but seems pretty comfortable so far), Kelly Noah 12' tarp, Bushcraft Outfitters 10x10 tarp and am now working on my sleep system.

Learning tons so far. I tend to read more and post less.

Welcome from the flatlands of Chicago. The company I work for is in Johnson City so I make it out your way fairly often....beautiful country.

Started with a kit similar to yours...still use my Noah's 12, great tarp! Check out the threads on making an underquilt with a "clew." I just changed my PLUQ over to a clew and it's awesome and very inexpensive.

Looking real hard at making the PLUQ as it seems sufficient for my needs and within my price range. But I haven't been able to find out what a "CLEW" is. Any help there? I searched it and came up with very little that I could find.
