I've committed to 1/3 of it, which will be 50 linear feet. I only want a part of that. Is anyone interested in parts of up to 30' or so (maybe more, I may only want 10', not 20') of we'll say 7' wide Tyvek?
If you find out that it's 8' or bigger, I'll give it a go.

Boyd just bought the roll. It is 9' wide. The actual cost is $1.12/ft. That was with his military discount. So, that is the price, along with postage, rounded up to nearest $.05. I want 20' of it. He is open to selling some of his, and the other guy is deployed and won't be upset if he doesn't have a full 50' when he gets back. Heck, if we find that many uses for it we'll just buy another roll.

Either tomorrow, or more probably Tuesday or Wednesday evening I'll at least measure off my 20' and take it and weigh it and get an idea of postage.

Upon getting home and recalculating, he found it is $1.02/FT. One evening next week we will get together at his garage and cut up what we know people want at that point. PM me and tell me how much you want. After cutting and weighing, I'll tell you how much to send me in a check. Given the small amounts involved, and the general trustworthiness of the folks here, the checks should pass the Tyvek in the mail. I'm not set up to take PayPal and I'm not really interested in setting up as any kind of vendor for this.

EDIT: IT IS $1.02 PER FOOT. I'm such a dork. Sorry, shouldn't post later at night. Anyone who wants to change their order because I posted the incorrect amount, let me know.

For future reference, it would probably be cheaper, if not easier, to just buy it from Arrowhead Equipment at $0.75/ft (plus shipping):

Not quite. The Tyvek you get from Arrowhead is 3 feet wide. This Tyvek that Shadowmoss is getting is 9 feet wide.

I actually did some serious thinking before posting this buy because I knew Arrowhead sells Tyvek. That is also why I said I am in no way interested in becoming a vendor for this. A hiker friend at work who I turned on to Tyvek by giving him a 3'x4' piece decided to buy a 150'x9' roll, and I'm trying to help finance it (at cost) so that we can all have some. in truth, when I told I was in, I didn't realize that 1/3 was going to be in excess of $50, and that's kind of steep for me right now. As it is, we are good.

I'll add up who wants what and post it tomorrow.
