It's smaller. Lighter. And gram weenies love it.
Mostly for Ridge lines and tarp suspension, which doesnt require massive weight ratings. I use it because it's smaller and sufficient for the task. Plus dutch bling is designed for it.

If we lose all the universities in the world, then we would lose nothing. But If we lose the forests, we lose everything." -- Bill Mollison
What's your substitute product with the same strength and lack of stretch? It's more expensive than 2-3mm nylon utility cord, but it's also much stronger and doesn't stretch. Nice qualities for SRL's, tarp ridge lines, bear bags, etc. It is easily spliceable. The fact that it is small and lightweight is a bonus.
Liabilities are that it is relatively expensive and does not hold knots well. You have to compare the assets to the liabilities and decide if it hits your value point or not.

Everything said above, but for me the real advantage is the splicing. Use it for all my continuous ridge lines and tarp door lines. I also carry a hank of it for emergencies. The strength to weight ratio is great.

My wife is running with zing it, 'cause of the lightweight, for backpacking.
Others of us will always, inevitably choose the overkill-heavier stuff, like 850 para cord....
Maybe we believe we'll be required to scale some cliff; not just suspend our tarps.
A fault, perhaps. But I have made it to my sixties, with that mindset. HYOH

... plus the heavier cordage is easier on old fingers.
buy a mini spool (180 feet) from dutch. $29 + shipping
much cheaper by the foot this way and it will be quite a while until you run out.
Malo Periculosam Libertatem Quam Quietum Servitium
Zing-it is cheap to me since it will last pretty much the lifetime of my tarp. Buy once and be done. I see no signs of wear of the line on my 5+ year old tarp.
Here's a cheaper option if you don't need to splice: https://www.dxengineering.com/parts/msg-mp02100. $15.95 for 330 feet!! $28 or so after shipping. Still less than half as much as zing-it. 220lb break
