That hammocks really looks like a Claytor. I don't think I would be able to tell the difference from a pic. Thanks for posting the pics. I hope you and your boys had a good time.

Sounds like you're about a year behind me -- lost 70 pounds so far and starting to explore the midstate trail. Putting a few miles on the local trails is far more interesting than a treadmill.

I've actually looked into the midstate trail. I'll be moving up to Hubbardston on route 68 close to the Gardner line. Just down the road from you. SO far I've lost about 5 pounds, just hope they keep on coming off.
ETA is End of September. Glad to know there is another hanger around.

Great job on the 70 lbs!! I lost a brother (not to mention buddy) about 5 years ago and gained about 150 lbs!!!. I have lost 110 lbs of that as of this week and am still losing steadily. I hike and bike and can finally sleep in a hammock again!

You're gettin' here just in time for the magic days when the mosquitoes are all dead, but the sun is still shining!

Yay! It really has been an exciting year for me, too. It's like getting a brand new body I can do stuff with.

Now, if I can just stop scorching and denting it.

What fun about hiking and biking is that we can still take off a whole pound without losing any equipment or extra spending money.

i wish you guys the best at getting your bods were you want them to be.
you probably already know this about the exercise but, "start were you are, not were you want to be". if you try to do to much to quick, there's a good chance you'll get discouraged & give up.

the first time i tried running, i tried to imitate what i saw others do & even though i was determined, i decided i just wasn't cut out for running.
but then one night i was walking to my brother's house a couple miles away & i wanted to get there in time to watch the benny hill show (of all things ), so i just loped from one foot to the next, not much faster than a walk.
but i was able to go the full distance... & i felt great when i got there.

i continued the same thing & gradually, slowly increased. that got me started.
when the doc gives the OK, i need to get started back w/ a fast walk w/ the trekking poles.
that was my rehab after breaking my back in 2002.

oh yeah... how does this relate to hammocking?
    1) you'll be able to use a lighter hammock & supports.
2)you'll feel more healthy as you lay in the hammock.
3)we need to look out for our hammock buds & keep you around.
