    Old man winter

I recently snagged a 13 foot (156") old man winter for use with my WBRR that's about 6-7 years old, and only been used as many times. I'm setting up the CRL and tie outs. As far as door management, do any of you do the same as others by using shock cord on the doors so they can be closed or folded back open?

I do not use the OMW tarp but rather a similar tarp and yes I use shock cord for door management and it works great.

    Yes.
I also use a cordlock to adjust length which changes based on pitch.

Yes that's a viable method of door management, but if you already have some other cord, that's just as viable

I use custom made whoopies to hold the doors in place. Larks headed to the door with a Dutch Hook on the adjustable end. Fully extended, it hooks to the far tie out. Otherwise, I adjust it to hook on the opposite tieout, a separate stake or tree. Works great for holding the doors out of the way and the adjustability lets me keep it tight in different configurations.

I use reflective shock cord loops on each of the grosgrain loops all the way around the tarp and off of that I have about 5' of reflect it that I just MSH to my stake/spike. It keeps the tarp tight and lets me just throw the whole stake over the outside panel pull to keep the doors open.
