Question What Happened to Just Jeff

I had seen something on here about this guy Just Jeff who used to be on here. What happened to him? Is he still involved in the hammock community, and if so, is he still contributing?

As I understand it JJ retired from the military here in Colorado a couple years ago and landed a job back east with a military contractor and he moved his family back east. He also was getting into motorhomes or large camper trailers so he could take his family camping.

I really enjoyed camping/hanging with JJ he was always willing to help get guys like me up to speed.

He's done a lot since then, but still doing well and still maintaining tothewoods.net, which is a great survey of hammock camping, among other things. Not much new content there in recent years, but I send newbies there in preference to all other sources.

Boy, that was the biggest overblown crap I've ever experienced here or on Whiteblaze. In the end, it wasn't much of anything. Our loss that they aren't posting here anymore - though some still do.

Interesting bit of HF history- that I didn't know. Hats' off to JJ and Attrol for starting HF as I have enjoyed the comerade here more than any other. It is a shame that you and the others left under such conditions. you are missed.

So, after reading the last post on http://tothewoods.net/ I'm curious about those claims. Is this still the case with the donations? Is there still no transparency with them?
