ShadowAlpha, I'm sorry. I wasn't judging how close together your trees were - what I meant was that if I were shorter, my trees wouldn't need to be as far apart. Sometimes I have a hard time finding a big enough span in the thick woods around here.

Your backyard really does look like a sweet spot to while away an afternoon.
.. truly to enjoy bodily warmth, some small part of you must be cold, for there is no quality in this world that is not what it is merely by contrast. Nothing exists in itself. If you flatter yourself that you are all over comfortable, and have been so a long time, then you cannot be said to be comfortable any more. - Herman Melville

    Nicely done!

I did my first hammock early summer and just finished my 4th with 2 more on backorder. This is what you can look forward to

I've tried the bug net that you are looking at and it is a very simple design but very effective. I have it on my hammock and the pockets are great for keeping the shoes off the ground. The only mod that I would make to it is a bit of shock cord or elastic below the edge of the hammock to tighten it up a bit. With a slight breeze I've had skeeters get blown inside the hammock.
I do not wish to be disturbed - but I can't help it!
