Uticafats - I bet Shug's right. What happens is that your feet sweat, and the moisture passes thru the insulation...but at the top of the insulation it gets cool enough to condense, so you see it on top of your quilt.
If it were colder out, the moisture might be condensing inside your TQ where you couldn't see it.

Haven't tried it but my friend always sprays his feet with antiperspirant to keep them from sweating on our winter outings.
