You folks are too kind - this is not a good idea.
Do you have experience with a similar project, or is this speculation? Not to be the forum police but we typically like to encourage people trying new things, and then let them come back to us with actual field results so we can all learn something. I think most of us realize that an adhesive based approach is no where near the strength of a sewn project, but the question here is does it meet the requirements of the job he is asking it to do.
Great idea but I don't see the adhesive lasting very long.
Kam snaps would be just as simple and would only cost about $12 with enough snaps for several projects.

Honestly, I did not want to hear the cam snaps rattling inside my dryer and I am curious to see how long the adhesive lasts myself.

In case anyone was wondering, I've used this several times and machine washed and dried it after each use with no ill effect.
