I've been around the forum for a long time, this was more asking so maybe the new guy didn't have to.

Removed amsteel larksheaded to hammock end going to tri-rings. Left hammock whipping alone. Attached fixed end of whoopie to hammock end via larkshead. Adjustable end of whoopie now goes to shortened treehugger (mine 4', but others use longer/shorter according to their needs) with marlin spike. Takes only about 5 minutes. I think, though I'm not at home to confirm by looking at it, you have to remember to attach the ridgeline of the BB into the new larkshead when attaching the whoopie.

Actually this made me realize how much I don't know about whoopies. Is there any adjustablility? It seems a pretty static suspension method unless the whoopie length can somehow be adjusted.

    LB-
The beauty of whoopies are that they are very easily adjustible and the adjustibility requires no knots or hardware. Please see the excellent primer video here by Grizz explaining both whoopie slings and utility constrictor ropes. It will all make sense as he is far better at explaining this than I will ever be.
