I'm having a difficult time keeping the bugnet up like in this demo video. It's toward the end.

I'm thinking about using 2 or 3 velcro strips.
What do you think?

No trees were killed in the sending of this message. However a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.
You can tighten up the shock cord channels on the ends of the net to provide a little more tension to hold the net up if needed. See this photo taken from the Raven video.
Here's what I've done for now.

Have a roll of Velcro, and cut 5" strips

Rap them around the bugnet and ridge line, with the soft side on the inside.

I put 4 on there.
I can leave them on the ridge line, or keep them rolled up and store them in one of the pockets of the ridge line organizer.

I have not had the same issue. Tightening the shockcord a bit has held mine up with no issues. That's a quick and easy idea you had.

I've been thinking about splicing some lash-it through the hammock ridge line. Leave two tails long enough to tie up the net. I figure three should do it. No velcro and light weight/free.
I would rather be in the woods... my dog would rather be in the pool. My wife thinks we are both nuts.
