    Tarp pole advice

So I made my winter tarp and it seems to sag a good bit in the walls. Maybe because of the added fabric from the doors doesn't allow it to be as taught or maybe I should have not been lazy and actually do the cat cuts.

I added a third center tie out but thay doesn't seem to help much.

So now I am looking for a single pole because I plan to sew a side pull on either side. Only thing is, I have no idea what I'm looking for. I don't know how long I need or where to find one.

I really want to go as light as possible for the one pole. Also do I just attach it over the ridge with shock cord and a knot or is there a better way?

Check amazon or google for "tent pole".

If I was going to do this I would test it with a length of wood dowel or two and figure out what you need. Then you know how long of a tent pole to buy. It's going to have to be something thin and light.

I used a few fiberglass driveway markers with aluminum connectors from the hardware store. I intended to use these just for measuring, but they worked so well I kept them. Easy to trim to size using a cutoff wheel. Light enough. Only downside I see is that there are lighter and stiffer alternatives, but they work fine for the center pole mod on my MamaJamba
