Dutch? What! I never knew that. Very interesting... I might see him in June. Maybe I'll get the chance to chit chat with him...

LOL. I'm just getting caught up on his hike and I just found out last night he received his hammock. He had a thru hiker with him for a little while that was a hanger, but no interview was provided. Hopefully Reddmage will provide his thoughts on the hammock after a few months in it...
The other hiker with Reddmage who is a hanger is my son. He's about 5-6 days behind Quinn now. Follow him at https://www.instagram.com/quinnbrookins/. He's using a WBRR, carbon spreader bars, a 20 WB 3/4 Lynx UQ, Zpack CF tarp, 13 ounce DIY TQ, Zpacks haul, and he has the 3/4 - 6 ounce x pad for ground dwelling.... and plenty of Dutch Bling. I'm meeting him at Katahdin between 6/26-7/4 for extraction. Hope to do some of the 100 mi Wilderness with him if I can keep up.

That's awesome! Looks like I might need to dust off my Instagram app.

Sam Ducharme hiked the AT in 2015. He started with an ENO then switched to his Hennessy for bug season.

I hiked from Killington, Vt and Katahdin finishing the last day of September. I switched from a pro lite pad to a HG 20 under quilt in Franconia Notch. Had a great time and at a few sites hammocks out number tents.

I documented my 2014 Long Trail end-to-end which was done in entirety with my hammock. While I decided not to publish my journal in 2015 I did a SOBO thru of the AT using Dutch's Half-Wit hammock.

Really enjoyed your Long Trail Journal. Thanks for sharing that.

I'm currently Thru hiking with a hammock and would be happy to answer any questions you may have.

I'm using a warbonnet blackbird and a hammock gear cubes tarp rigged with Dutch bling.

I've seen a good number of Warbonnets and lots of Enos, maybe a couple of Hennesys so far
