Just a heads up. You should all remember to bring plenty of bug dope, and then a little more.

Yes, I was up at Mooselook this past weekend and if it was not for the wind, we would have been eaten (when the son shone) otherwise it was actually too cold for any bugs to be out. So all in all it worked out but if there is good sunny weather definitely prepare for the winged onslaught they are hungry.

Thanks! What's worse, black flies or mosquitoes?

Just picked up a fresh bottle of picaridin, and their lotion, as well as a bottle of Deet, and the 12x12 screened in Kelty that we had at Rick's (ATTROLL) hang last year. So yeah I think we're ready, bring 'em on! Oh and for back-up we also have a Thermacell with refills, and bug nets!! It's WAR, and I'm stocked, cocked, and ready!

Awe come on, you know we only hang with the cool kids!

Super Blackfly-mosquitoes. A new strain that only breeds at campgrounds, beaches, parks, and hiking trails, also gonna mention the Super spider-ticks that hangout in similar places.

Weather report gets better and better every day. You may need a case of those for the weekend! I can't wait to be sippin' on a cold beer with a stogie, floating around in the sun with a nice cool breeze. Doesn't that sound great?!

And Laura for some reason I was thinking you lived in ME not Boston.

Ooooohhh. Gotcha. Sorry you can't make it.

Bugs sound scary. Hopefully the breeze off the water will keep them at bay.

Bugs are gonna be bugs... that's just the DeepWoods Hood.
I'm up to the lake pretty frequently and they have never been a real problem, and being up on the bluff should help.
We can always paddle up to the island and hang out there for a while where they can't find us...
