Actually, I saw Baer make a hammock out of some netting and hang it about 20' off the ground so the bears wouldn't bother him. The show was on a couple weeks ago.

I saw Bear make a hammock out of a long section of bamboo. Didn't look too comfortable, but kept him off the ground.
