I have seen almost everything done by Ray Mears, some of Bear Grylls (sucks) and Les i wish was a little faster. Maybe if he didnt do all his own filming then it would be better. For Me Ray Mears is the best and i got part of my tarp setup knots from him. The Siberian hitch. Well at least thats where i saw it first.

Did anyone else see the Dual Survival show where Dave Canterbury made a hammock, of sorts, with a piece of bamboo? He split it length wise, leaving the ends intact. Then spread it open and weaved other pieces into it. It worked, may not have been the most comfortable, but beat sleeping on the ground.

None taken. I don't offend easily, and the best have tried. I was only trying to point out that I agreed with you on the canoe, but if you're interested in doing a e-search he's actually a very entertaining guy.
And Roadrunner, the bamboo hammock thing was pretty cool.

Now I need to go see some Survivorman~
Afoot and light-hearted, I take to the open road,
Healthy, free, the world before me,
The long brown path before me, leading wherever I choose.
Just take a look at my avatar.
Nope, I'm not Les, but didn't want to use a real picture of myself on the net.
