    IS THERE A SOLUTION?

Even though I've had my SuperFly and DW 11' gathered end for more than a year now I still can't seem to get the ends of the hammock under the tarp much more than 2-3",...before I lie in the hammock. At that point the ends are maxed out and are right at the tarp's closed door openings. Under dry weather conditions this really isn't an issue that bothers me but when it's raining none of the 'rain dripping' preventative measures that I've found here, or read about, work in keeping the hammock from getting damp/wet. The only way to get around this is if I hang the hammock so low to the ground that my rear end is just about 'ground camping'. Any, and all practical ideas or suggestions would certainly be welcomed aside from buying a different hammock/tarp. Thanks

Check your hammock ridgeline length. Is it close to 83% of your hammock length? Also, I would remove the ridgeline and measure the actual length of the hammock again.

Check out this hang calculator for some number crunching that may help in getting that ridge line the right length.

Agreed. Follow all of the advice proferred above to assess your actual situation with your nominal 11-foot hammock. Heck, measure your Super Fly RL too, just in case. The solution may be as simple as shortening the ridge line. If your hammock body turns out to be long you can always whip and larks dad one or both ends to adjust it too. It's amazing what effect a couple of inches can have on both weather protection and lay comfort in your hammock.

Hmmm....my Explorer UL fits under my DIY Winter Dream by about the same margin - 3 inches at either end. However, that's always been more than enough for protection from whatever nature has thrown (I've hung through bad storms and 8 inches of snow).

What I don't understand is how your hammock is getting longer when you lay in it. Could you elucidate?
